My name is Tay. I’m 22 I live in Minneapolis, MN, I’m a chef who’s worked in all sorts of restaurants from a chicken shack to an Alain Ducasse, but I also (like I’m sure millions of others) rent an apartment with a teeny tiny kitchen, and it makes cooking myself dinner every night, a huge hassle.

I mean it’s really effing small.

If you have a tiny kitchen, you know exactly what I’m talking about, from finding enough space to prep what you need, to the constant cleanup because there is no room for dirty dishes on your one counter top, having a tiny kitchen means a recipe that would normally take 30 minutes and seems extremely simple into an olympic event. For me, that means most nights end in takeout, which is awful for both my health and my wallet.

So, in an act of “self care” (I think we can call it that) I’m going to troubleshoot my tiny kitchen that I’ve been avoiding for some time and I’m going to share my journey with you, from perfect recipes to total failures.

If you also have a tiny kitchen, you’re in the right place. Please feel free to comment any of your grievances, words of support, what you like about your kitchen and what you don’t. If you try out any recipes, let me know how they turn out.

If you don’t have a tiny kitchen, follow along anyways! If I can make this food in my little piece of crap, you can do it anywhere.
